Lose Weight For Wedding Diet

What is the best way to lose weight? I am joining a gym, but what diet works the best?
I plan to lose weight before my wedding which is set for August 2007. So, I’m hoping to lose about 40-50 lbs by then.
First off, congratulations to you. I hope you have a wonderful life ahead of you. Now, on the matter of a well-working diet, it’s pretty much how your body will respond to different diets. I’m not saying that you should try out every diet there is, but give one at least a week.
Here’s one I do recommend: it’s called the Cleveland Clinic Diet. It’s a 3-day diet, designed to help you lose up to 10 pounds in 3 days. On the fourth day, you can return to your normal eating, but just be careful not to over-do it. Wait four days before beginning the 3 day diet again; in a month, you can lose up to 40 pounds.
First Day
* Breakfast – 1/2 grapefruit, 1 slice dry toast, 2 tbsp peanut butter
* Lunch – 1/2 cup dry tuna which is packed in water and not oil, 1 slice dry toast.
* Dinner – 2 slices of meat (any), 1 cup green beans, 1 cup red beets, 1 small apple, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream.
Second day
* Breakfast – 1 egg, 1 slice dry toast, 1/2 banana
* Lunch – 1/2 cup tuna or 1 cup of cottage cheese, 5 saltine crackers
* Dinner – 2 hot dogs, 1 cup broccoli, 1/2 cup carrots, 1 banana, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream.
Third Day
* Breakfast – 5 saltine crackers, 1 slice cheddar cheese, 1 banana, 1 small apple
* Lunch – 1 hard boiled egg, 1 slice dry toast
* Dinner – 1 cup of tuna, 1/2 cup red beets, 1 cup cauliflower, 1/2 cup cantaloupe or frozen mixed fruit, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream.
The Cleveland clinic diet is a 3 day cleansing program where the aim is to eliminate mucus and other toxins from the body so that the dieter is healed in a natural way. If you are overweight, this program will take you down to an acceptable level. If you are a little thinner than you’d like to be, it will bring you up to a normal weight.

When you return to your normal eating, don’t eat too many snacks. Working out in the gym to tone your body is perfectly fine. Perhaps you can hire a personal trainer or a nutritionalist at the gym who can also help you with slimming down properly.
